It's Mother's Day! If you are a mother, Happy Mother's Day to you. If 
you still have your mother in your life, do something to honor her today.  

This is a bittersweet day for me. As a mother and grandmother I praise
God for the blessing of my son, daughter-in-love and grandchild. How
sweet it was to receive a card and gift they made to honor me and 
show their love.  

Yet, I miss my mother and grandmother today too.  I know I will
never stop missing these women who were the loves of my life even 
though I know they are all now in the arms of our Lord. 

The Bible has many examples of mothers, showing the importance God 
places on them and their influence in the life of their children. Some
of the most famous Bible mothers include Sarah, the mother of Issac,
Elizabeth the mother of John the Baptist, and Mary the mother of Jesus.  
Some of the many mothers not spoken of as often are those of the kings
of Judah and Israel. They are mentioned throughout the books of 1 & 2
Kings as influencing their child to be a good king or a bad king.  

This is one day to set aside time to consider the mother in your life.
If you are the mother, it is the time to allow others to do something
special for you. 

If you don't have a mother to spend time with today, consider spending
time with a woman who may be all alone. Share Christ's love with her
and let her know she has a special place in His heart.
