Faith-filled women in the workplace often face unique challenges and struggles when using their God-given gifts and talents to make a difference in the internet business world. But, through it all, there is a place and a need for what you have to offer.

So even though it can be tough to navigate the ups and downs of the business world while staying true to your values, you must have the courage and confidence in your own abilities to lead your business and be productive on your own terms.

Unfortunately, it’s easy to fall into a trap of doing things that actually hinder your success and some of that can be from your own wrong thinking.

Here are 3 things to NEVER do as you pursue your goals using your God-given gifts and talents:

1. Never compare yourself to others.

“We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves.”  2 Corinthians 10:12a

It’s easy to get caught up in the comparison trap, especially in online business situations where competition in center niches seems high. But remember that you are uniquely created by God with your own set of skills, experiences, and talents to use in the marketplace. Don’t worry about comparisons with others but instead, have the confidence to find that creative way to develop your niche to highlight your unique way of presenting products and services. Embrace your individuality and focus on being the best version of yourself.

2. Never believe the lies of imposter syndrome.

“We all have a purpose God intentionally designed for us to live out” Eph. 2:10a

Some levels of self-doubt is not unusual in business, especially when entering a niche market with a lot of competition. But remember, God has equipped you with everything you need to succeed. Your specific life experiences and set of skills and talents are the foundation for you to create a business that differs from others even if it’s in the same niche area as others. You are not an imposter; you are a confident, capable woman who has her own purpose that can make a difference in the world.

3. Never isolate yourself.

“Unfriendly people care only about themselves; they lash out at common sense.” Proverbs 18:1

It can be tempting to try to go it alone in the internet business world, but we were not meant to journey through life alone. It’s important to have others to share ideas with in order to expand your knowledge and abilities. Isolating yourself limits your ability to understand what people in the marketplace are looking for. When you surround yourself with a community of like-minded women who share your values and can offer a broad range of support and encouragement you keep updated on new trends in the internet business arena that affect the growth of your business. Working with others expands your marketing abilities and lets everyone become stronger.

So, my dear sisters, as you navigate the challenges and triumphs of the workplace, remember that you are not alone. Do what you know showing your unique skills and talents instead of trying to imitate anyone else.

You are uniquely created by God with a purpose to share with others in the marketplace. Always be your authentic self, putting forth your best ideas and efforts with confidence.

Embrace your individuality, believe in yourself, and surround yourself with a supportive community. There is a place and a need for what you have to offer, plus working with others expands your thinking and partnership opportunities.

You’ve got this!
