Have you ever found yourself needing a beacon on light in the middle of your workday? A day that starts like all others can sometimes get turned around by an unexpected situations; a phone call with startling news, a deadline that came too quickly, the cancelation of a meeting that affects the next steps in a process. Perhaps you just can’t decide on the next move and miss an important deadline to move your business forward.

During these times it might be difficult to know how to push forward. But there is something inside of a Christian business women that can keep her moving forward.

That something is your faith.

Faith in these situations won’t always be big, obvious, or loud. It can be as small as a mustard seed which will result in being big enough to move the mountains that appear in your path (Matthew 17:20).

Think about it, when you’ve been in the middle of uncertainty, how has your faith helped you to get through?

Here are three points to remember about how faith is your source of strength in the workplace:

A Helping Hand in the Storm: Has it ever felt like you were in the middle of storm drowning when things go overwhelming in your business, but you got up and started trying again anyway? It was your faith that became your anchor when you found yourself in the middle of the storm. Remember how Peter tried to walk on water like Jesus and started to doubt and Jesus reached out His hand to save him saving “You of little faith,’ he said, ‘why did you doubt?” (Matt. 13:31). Through prayer and scripture, you can find the strength to keep moving towards your goals without doubt. Just keep moving towards the goal despite it all. even

A Courageous Course Correction: Has reluctance to decide ever threatened to get you off course towards a business goal? Maybe you doubted investing in some new technology or enrolling in a needed but expense course. It’s only human to falter at times in your determination to follow a direction you want to move in, especially when it means investing time or money. Pray about it. When you’re unsure and you don’t feel you can make the right decision say, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24). Then pray about it again, wait, and trust God to know the direction to take. You’ll find the courage to make the right choice to get back on the course needed to accomplish your goals.

A Beacon of Light: Reflect on how your faith has brought light into the darkest corners of your journey. When you put in some prayer about a situation you can continue to have hope for the best results. Stay focused on your goal. Keep in mind the need to stay patient and never doubt that you’ll hear the answer to your prayers. “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind” (James 1:6). Through prayer and reflection, you will find your hope renewed and strength restored.
